The Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad travels north along the Arkansas River Valley, it raises up 1,000 feet off the valley floor so that you will have some spectacular views of Fremont Pass and the two tallest peaks in Colorado, Mt. Massive and Mt. Elbert. A relaxing train ride through the Rocky Mountains May through October.

How long is the Train Ride - 2 and ½ hour adventure through the untamed wilderness of the San Isabel National Forest is not to be forgotten. We begin boarding half an hour prior to each trip, and seating is on a first come first-served basis. There are restrooms on the train.

Engine Rides
Experience your Colorado train ride from your own private car! You can ride with our engineer and see firsthand how the train is operated. By purchasing this ticket, you get the opportunity to ride one way with one of our knowledgeable engineers and the opposite direction in general seating.
- $110 per person - You will travel the first part of the trip general adminsstin. At the water tower stop 1/2 way you will to switch to the engier for the way back.

Caboose Rices
Experience your Colorado train ride from our recently refurbished caboose! You can ride with our brakeman and learn more about the operation of the train. Our lifted cupola seats offer a more expansive view of the Rocky Mountains. By purchasing this ticket, you get the opportunity to ride one way with one of our friendly brakemen and the opposite direction in general seating.
