Rent a Stand Up Paddle Boarding & Kayak
Dillon reservoir is nestled between the beautiful Ten Mile Range, the Gore Range and the Williams Fork Range, which was once at the center of the Colorado Gold rush.
Before western settlers arrived the Native Utes called the area Nauncara, which meant valley of the Blue. Denver water started construction on Dillon Dam in 1961 and work was completed by 1963. With a surface area of 3,332 acres and 26 miles of shoreline. Dillon reservoir is sure to provide paddlers with more than enough water to explore and unlike the Dillon side of the reservoir, the Frisco side offers numerous islands and coves, which offer protection from our well known afternoon winds. Giberson Bay located just north of Frisco provides a great opportunity to view wildlife such as bald eagles, beavers, moose, deer and numerous waterfowl. Paddleboard lessons and tours are led be ACA Certified Standup Paddleboard Instructors and provide an amazing vantage point cruising through the mangroves or paddling the always calm Giberson Bay on Dillon Reservoir.
New this year - the Frisco Bay Marina is offering Hobie Eclipse pedalboards featuring their Mirage drive. Wind, waves, and wake? No problem. The board’s width, hull design, and handlebars provide an extra-stable ride superior to a standard paddle board. So stable, fun, and fast that you will feel like you are walking on water.
