Never ridden a Side-by-Side before? Not to worry – no previous riding experience is necessary. Our professional Side-by-Side guides will give you all of the proper safety instruction and operation lessons you will need and then you’re on your way! Bring your camera, because on a clear day you can see the two highest peaks in Colorado, Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive.

The morning and midday Side-by-Side tours include lunch at McAllister’s Grill, in our scenic lodge, at Camp Hale. Choose a made-to-order lunch from our menu and enjoy it in the Lodge or on the deck surrounded by majestic mountain peaks.

IMPORTANT: A $10 Forest Service Fee is charged per person on all tours, in addition to the cost of the tour. Guided tours include helmets, goggles, and rain gear (if necessary). Must be 16 years or older to drive when accompanied by an adult. Children 5 years & older can ride as a passenger.

You will drive past abandoned gold mines in your very own machine while following our professional guide in theirs. Your Tour provides you with the chance to be guided to over 12,000ft of elevation into the Rockies. The Mountain Views of over 60 miles are unmatched in all of Colorado.

The tours are small, family friendly and have mind blowing, jaw dropping views. No prior machine riding experience is needed. We give every driver of a machine a personal safety speech and spend time showing you how to operate your equipment safely. We pass some of the most amazing mining ruins and have the highest, most expensive mountain views.

Right across from where the Leadville Gold Rush began in 1859 at California Gulch. We tour down trails and up into the mountains to explore some of the many abandoned mines from the days of Leadville’s mining past.

While on tour we make several stops so your guide can snap some free pictures of your group. All Drivers of machines must be 21 and have a drivers license.

If 5 or more people they must weigh under 700lbs to fit safely inside the machine. 4 adults and 2 small children (under 70 lbs) is the ideal seating arrangement for a UTV/Side by Side. The machine you book is all yours, we do not combine different groups in machines.

We do not allow 6 adults in one UTV. UTVs with OVER 4 guests have a 700lb weight limit. The weight limit does not apply to any combination of 4 people or less.

We will give you a safety orientation, operating instructions, and you can explore the trails on your own! Our Colorado Side-by-Side/UTV rentals are priced by the hour and we will make sure you are equipped with a map of the trails and all you need to know before you head out. Helmets included.
